Brink of a Hostage

Jilley and Jo, their status motif
Of their demeanor
When they snub, laugh and peep

They snide like a bull
That ends in e-y
Do they not know
I am precious inside?

What's it about me ...
I come across grouchy?
What's it about me ...
My stance a bit slouchy?

If they only had eyes
Not frosted by lies
They'd know I am fun
And full of surprise!

I go to the brink
Cuz my heart
It does sink
All that is left
Is to render extinct

But oh then a whisper
From Father above
Says Oh my dear child
Pick life filled with love

You've been created
Like nobody else
Straighten your crown
And prance like a Celt!

If you don't know
Let me please show
As I lift up this mirror
Look and do peer

Hogwash to them
Whom they pretend
Intentionally to be -
Quite arrogantly

Perhaps they got not
The message once sent
To love one another
And kind, like a brother!

So be bigger than them
In heart and not wither
Say even a prayer
For them over dinner

For bones won't be dry
Shall the spirit inside
Escape and Enlighten
Those who need bright'n
