Wheel of Fortune

In younger days, our mind we sculpt
A future fortune dogged with doubt
We go for the gamble
We spin the wheel
As fate lay it
My prize revealed

I member that day in our young love
When my heart told me I'd crossed thereof
Beyond a point in time does warn
Without you dear
of that I'd mourn

Life's layers, like snow fall on snow
What lies beneath, what lies before
What is to come lasts forevermore

Will you melt away before me
Will your last day be first

Will you melt away before me
Will it feel like a curse

Of rock or road, we have been down
Through good and bad our vows abound
Our pains have caused me strength
From where it came; I could not of gone
But only with you, my dearest one

So here we are before us, rather older than young
Time surely speaking forward, the melt has begun
And so it must be, oh so naturally
More dull, less sharp
But not of my love
You've always been my fortune, my dearest one

Life's layers, like snow fall on snow
What lies beneath, what lies before
What is to come lasts forevermore

Will you melt away before me
Will your last day be first

Will you melt away before me
Will it feel like a curse

As I sit here next to you
As day goes to night
Know'n the road is get'in closer
To the final homeward light
Let me tell you simply
Dearest of dear
Shall you melt away before me
I'll still love you so sincere
