Our lives the same, no longer they last
Who know this day is special for some
For most we age four times as fast
Special for they were born thereon.
When we are forty, they are but ten
Their hair doth grey, tho' show no fear
About us they linger, we know not when
Except twenty and nine, every other even year.
Gregorian math, lo the 15th century
42 years before Christ, Julius did leap
Decided upon: second month February
Time yields their secret, always we keep.
The Spaniard did fly, the world it did prey
No caution taken, it rendered its fear
One hundred two years, or 25 to this day
If no caution taken, Corona will spear
This day 'tis special, twenty and nine
Unless you are hiding, escaping the flu
For all most memorable, a fearful time
In one and four, we'll be thru this, too!
